Honda’s Alex Rins won the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, after capitalising on a mistake by Francesco Bagnaia, who crashed his Ducati while leading the race. Rins was the first rider to win on a Honda this year, while Luca Marini from the VR46 team came second and Fabio Quartararo from Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP came third. It was Quartararo’s first podium of the year. Meanwhile, Jack Miller from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing had looked set for his first KTM podium but crashed out of contention in third place. Maverick Viñales came fourth, Miguel Oliveira fifth and Marco Bezzecchi sixth. The Grand Prix of the Americas took place in Austin, Texas, and was the third of the 2023 MotoGP season.
