🏁🇺🇸 COTA Qualifying : Pecco Master

Francesco Bagnaia of the Ducati Lenovo Team has secured pole position for the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Bagnaia achieved the feat with a lap of 2:01.892, a new lap record. He was joined on the front row by Alex Rins of LCR Honda Castrol and Luca Marini of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team. The session was marked by two crashes by Jorge Martin, who lost the front at Turn 2 both times. He will start the race in 12th place. Marco Bezzecchi and Miguel Oliveira secured promotion from Q1 to Q2, with Bezzecchi claiming the second-fastest time. Johann Zarco was fastest in Q1 but crashed out in Q2. Bagnaia set his record lap on his final attempt, having seen Rins take provisional pole with his own final lap. The Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas takes place on April 16.
