🏁🇦🇷 Argentine Qualifying : Mixed conditions put Alex Marquez on Top

Alex Marquez from Gresini Racing MotoGP won the pole position after an eventful Q1 session at the Gran Premio Michelin de la Republica Argentina. Marquez took the pole position after pushing Fabio Quartararo to second place in Q1. However, he crashed and abandoned his number one bike after it caught fire. Francesco Bagnaia from Ducati Lenovo Team took the third spot on the grid for the Tissot Sprint and Sunday’s Grand Prix. During Q2, Marco Bezzecchi and Alex Marquez, decided to follow Bagnaia’s lead and run on slick tyres. Morbidelli was in the lead for a while before Bezzecchi, with 30 seconds left, smashed the top time by two seconds. However, Alex Marquez, who was on a slick tyre, managed to snatch pole position away from Bezzecchi, resulting in a Ducati lockout on the front row. It was a tense Saturday morning in Termas de Rio Hondo, as the race prepared for the unknown with challenging conditions.
