🏁🇵🇹 Portugal GP Qualifying : More Surprises

Marc Marquez secured pole position for both the Tissot Sprint and Sunday’s race at the Grande PrĂ©mio TISSOT de Portugal, taking his 64th premier pole with Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin in hot pursuit. Marquez set a new all-time lap record and will start from pole position for the second time since 2019. In Q2, Jack Miller set the early benchmark, breaking the all-time lap record, but crashed out at Turn 3. The reigning Champion, Bagnaia, smashed the lap record again to take the provisional pole, followed by Martin, who threatened Bagnaia’s lap time. Miguel Oliveira made a late charge but finished in fourth place. In the closing stages, Marquez silenced the paddock with an unexpected lap time, snatching pole position from Bagnaia by 0.064s. The stage is set for an epic battle with three World Champions lining up on the front row, and many questions yet to be answered.
