Pol Espargaro causes a stir by leading FP2 for the San Marino MotoGP at Misano from Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso.
Andrea Iannone did not take part in FP2 after being sent for CT scans on a possible fractured vertebra following a fall in the morning session. The Italian is set to miss the remainder of the weekend.
Alex Lowes is replacing the injured Bradley Smith for the second time, with Xavi Fores in place of Loris Baz at Avintia. Baz was injured in last weekend’s British MotoGP, in an accident that also involved Espargaro.
