🏁🇺🇸 COTA Practice 2 : Jorge Martin the Indomitable

Jorge Martin, of Prima Pramac Racing, topped Day 1 in Texas ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Alex Rins. The Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas began with dry weather in MotoGP, with Practice 2 seeing the fastest times of the day. Ten minutes before the end of Practice 2, Luca Marini and Pecco Bagnaia led the way, until Francesco Bagnaia took the lead and put his factory Ducati at the top of the pile. With Q2 spots up for grabs, rivals Bagnaia and Quartararo let the group take to the circuit and waited behind for clear space. Martin put down a scintillating pace in the final minutes and moved the goalposts by almost half a second, setting a one-lap time and finishing at the top of the leaderboard. Fabio Quartararo finished the day seventh fastest, while Marco Bezzecchi missed the cut by 0.037s and will have to fight his way through Q1 for a chance at pole.
